Harness racing hits Oamaru again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:10pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Woodbine Rocks (5) Good at recent trials. Big winning chance with manners
Kalasa (1) Has looked impressive at trials and ace draw helps. Should start favourite
Fitzthebill (2) Needs to bring manners but has the ability. Winning claims in this

Race 2

Izia (1) Has been running great races but finding one better. This could be the winning day
Kiwi Colt(6) Has the ability and trialed ok. Winning claims if he can get handy early
True Confessions (4) Has been good the first two. Can run into the placings here

Race 3

Major Icon (3) Has gate speed and likely to go forward here. Can stick on for a place
Smoke On The Water (2) Racing well in strong fields. Winning claims with luck
Classic Mission (10) 2the right trip but has a fence draw. Chance at big odds

Race 4

Icee Styxie (1) Tidy run against a strong field last start Hard to beat from the draw
Helium (3) Ok last start and a big improver. Top three chance in this field.
Killinchy Kid (5) Racing in good form at trials. Chance of winning with luck in running

Race 5

Taliesin (6) Wide draw but has the speed to overcome it. Could still be too quick
Maid Of Money (12) Tricky draw but good third fresh up. Top three chance
 Nyla (4) Ok last start and has a form driver on board. Chance if she gets handy early

Race 6

Majestic Whisper (18) Form has tapered off but big motor. Goes close with manners
Tom Brady (11) Ok form and likely to race close to the speed. Winning claims.
Vertigo (14) Coming in fresh but has speed. One for longer odds in this

Race 7

Bubba Scrub (6) Has excuses last start and better suited here. Can win with a quick beginning
Not Over (5) Quick beginner who should race handy early. Top three claims in this
David Niven (8) Has been freshened and can run a handy race with luck in transit

Race 8

Prince Ranier (5) Galloped on grass at Methven. One of the better chances back on grit
Palisade (2) Unlucky at Addington with a gallop late when looking a chance. Include
Hanover Da Moon (12) Goes well on the track and hasn’t had a lot of luck. Could surprise

Race 9

Hazer (8) Good beginner who drops back in grade. Can go close here with luck in running
The Conqueror (4) Fast beginner who could lead them for a long way here. Not the worst
Asian Elvis (5) Nice fourth last start on grass. Needs to step but has top a three chance here

Race 10

Casino Action (4) Big gate speed and should be handy early. Major player here
Street Art (8) Unbeaten and has a the speed to get forward early. Winning claims here
Ajira (7) Getting better with racing and will race handy. One of the better chances in this field
