Undefeated Idao de Tillard wins 180,000€ Group II test

The Hippodrome Bordeaux le Bouscat in France hosted the 45^th Grand Prix du Sud Ouest (Gr. II, purse 180,000€, 2550 meters autostart clockwise for International 4-10 year olds) and the 1.5/1 odds and undefeated Idao de Tillard (4m Severino-America de Tillard) rallied to victory timed in 1.12.5kr.

Clement Duvaldestin teamed the Tierry Duvaldestin trainee for owner Cyril Sevestre as the winner scored for the 15^th time in his career for 652,120€ earned.

Cash du Rib (10g Ready Cash-Quille Castelets) held second with J.L.Cl. Dersoir aboard for Ecurie Jeloca, off at 32/1. Ce Bello Romain (10g Jam Pridem-Miss Echo Bella) was third with Franck Nivard the pilot for owner/trainer S.G. Dupont. The favorite (at 9/10 odds) Elie de Beaufour (8g Royal Dream) was fourth for trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire with 31/1 Elvis du Vallon (8m Reve de Beylev) home fifth for driver Ch. Cuiller.

Two year olds take the stage October 21 at Vincennes. Colts contest the Prix Louis Cauchois (54,000€ purse, 2200 meters) with Philippe Allaire’s Knockonwood (2m Ready Cash) hoping to remain unbeaten. He was won all three career starts.

The fillies race in the Prix Marcel Dejean (54,000€ purse, 2200 meters) with likely favorites being the Allaire trained Kanawa (2f Ready Cash-Sanawa) and the William Bigeon trainee Kana de Beylev (2f Express Jet), both of these have won two of their first three career starts.
