Shark Week (Vertical Horizon) thrived in the wet and cold conditions of Century Downs on Saturday (Oct. 22) to win his second straight harness racing victory at the track in a romp.
The four-year-old, driven by Michael Hennessy, fired out over the sloppy surface to take the lead and set a :28 first quarter as the snow and rain fell. He cruised to :57.3 and 1:27 middle panels with no opposition and glided away as he straightened for home.
The stallion widened his margin all the way home, scoring by five lengths in 1:55.3.
Samba beat (Phil Giesbrecht) finished second over Crackle N Burn (Kelly Hoerdt).
