Brilliant Tintin In America three-year-old Mahomes came from absolute last to snatch a last stride win in a semi-final of harness racing’s NSW Breeders Challenge at Menangle on Saturday night (Oct. 22).

The gelding posted sectionals of 27, 29, 27.3 and 28.4 on his way to a career-best 1:51.7 mile.

He has now won eight of his 10 starts this season and 10 out of 20 lifetime.

Teddy Disco, a Group 1 winner as a two-year-old, completed a notable quinella for Tintin In America.

Tintin In America sired a winning double at West Wyalong in the two-year-old King Tintin and the three-year-old filly Nizhoni, who both notched their second successes.

Former world champion Warrawee Needy left winners in both hemispheres last week. The Grogfather won his eighth race at Redcliffe in 1:55.1, while Frownies Miracle scored in 1:55.4 at Woodbine Mohawk Park, Canada.

Fear The Dragon, whose first crop as three-year-olds have earned almost $1.8 million in America this season, sired the quinella pair in the $60,000 Buckeye Stallion Series Championship at Dayton Raceway, Ohio in Self Made (1:51.6) and Odds On Capitalism.

Fear The Dragon also produced a ‘new’ two-year-old winner at Bathurst in Justa Dragon (1:57.8).

Tintin In America, Warrawee Needy and Fear The Dragon are members of the Wingate Farm, Wagga (NSW) sire roster.
