Hipstar, a gelding by former New Zealand champion Auckland Reactor, won twice in the space of eight days at harness racing’s Albion Park.
The six-year-old came from near last on both occasions, rating 1:54.8 for 1660 metres. He has now won 11 races and almost $80,000 in stakes.
Auckland Reactor was represented by winners in five different States and North America last week. He has sired 99 individual winners in Australia to date this season and progeny earnings of $1.9 million. Unfazed NZ (1:51.3) and Red Trix (1:52.3) both won at Menangle, the former making it three wins from his last four starts at the Sydney headquartersā track.
The three-year-old Elegant Eyre (Globe Derby Park), Mighty Atom (Dubbo and Parkes), Huey Trevor (Kilmore), the Redcliffe winners Matai Reactor and Elpine Sally, Aha Reaction NZ (Launceston) and Heās Gratis NZ, who won in 1:54.8 at Dayton Raceway, Ohio, have been other recent winners by Auckland Reactor.
A $1.7 million winning son of Mach Three, Auckland Reactor is standing this season at the Glen Alvie Stud, Undera, near Shepparton of Crystal Peacock.
