The 20/1 Hytte du Terroir (5f Boccador de Simm-Scarlet d’Ohara) was third for Alexandre Abrivard.
The 1.4/1 favorite Elie de Beaufour (8g Royal Dream-Pignata) held on the win the Gr. III Prix des Cevennes (purse 90,000€, 2850 meters for European 6-10 year olds) timed in 1.13.2kr and reined by his trainer Jean Michel Bazire for owner Eric Levallois.
This was his 31st career victory for 970,900£ earned. Ampia Mede SM (6f Ganymede-Polimpia Slide SM) was second at 2.1/1 odds with Franck Nivard aboard for Fabrice Souloy training for Scuderia Se.Fin. Third was 6.5/1 odds Decoloration (9f Prince d’Espace-Maradadi Buissonay) with Gabriel Gelormini up for owner/trainer J.M. Baudouin ahead of Ce Bello Romain and Jerry Mom.
In Sweden November 2 at Solvalla the Triton Sund (100,000SEK first prize, 2640 meters autostart) went to 4/1 odds Admiral As (6g Ready Cash-Galiera As-SJs Photo) in 1.11.6kr for driver Eric Adielsson and trainer Reijo Lilyendahl. The winner recorded his second 2022 win in nine starts and his 20th career victory in 38 outings.
Brambling (5m Bold Eagle) was second for Orjan Kihlstrom and 2.2/1 favorite Esprit Sisi (8g Ready Cash) was third for Daniel Wajersten.
In a qualifier on November 2 Calgary Games (5m Readly Express-Olympia Tilly-Lindy Lane) went 2140 meters in
1.11.7kr with a final 500 meters in 1.07.9kr. The world record for the distance in a race is 1.11.9kr. Bjorn Goop teamed the Timo Nurmos trainee that is unbeaten in only nine career starts and he now will point for the Prix d’Amerique.
On November 1 Aetos Kronos (6m Bold Eagle-Will Of A Woman-Muscle Yankee) qualified in 1.15.5kr with Johan Untersteiner aboard. The Jerry Riordan trainee is hoping for a comeback off an unusual illness.
