Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with six races on the card. The racing starts at 3:00pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Best Value:  R4   Ideal Zen

Race 1

Our Pegasus Pearl  (6) Manners an issue but has speed. Can get some money with no errors
Storms Acoming  (1) Gets a head-start on the field. Winning claims at longer odds with manners
Petronelli Gee (4) Reliable trotter who is dropping back in class for this. Can go close here

Race 2

Dream Prospect (7) Raced well and was unlucky last start. Hard to beat here
Addo Carr (6) Good last start and will be improved Can run top three in this field
The Only Decision (2) Decent form and drawn ok. One of the better chances 

Race 3

Dark Eclipse (2) Tidy run last start after working hard mid race. Can go one better
American Maid (4) Fitter for the last start run. Winning claims in this field
Red Letter Day (5) Conditions suit and she showed some speed last start. Can surprise

Race 4

Ideal Zen (8) Drawn for a cosy run on the fence. Capable of beating this field on his day
Grinning Again (1) Good draw and change of stable. Driver in good form and could surprise in this
Piiki Whara (9) Tricky draw but racing well. Goes well on this track and can place

Race 5

Stac (2) Drawn well and has been in good form. Hard to beat at nice odds in this field
Benjamin Button  (4) A bit disappointing last start but can reverse the form. Major player in this
Thee Old Bomb (7) Tricky draw but has ability. Will need luck but can place with the right run.

Race 6

Letsgodancing (2) Got the win last start and should go on with it. Hard to beat here
Alexis Rocket (12) Draw not great but he races well here and tidy recent trial. Needed here
Sharp Lou (1) Likely to get a good run on the fence. Should go close to running top three
