CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The Jennifer Doyle harness racing stable came to play in the Sunday (Nov 06) afternoon featured pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The Earnscliffe based Doyle barn finished first and second in the $3,500 Preferred pace on the weekend program as No Plan Intended (Up The Credit) and driver Jason Hughes wired the field in 1:54.1 from post 5. Stablemate Mantario sat last and rallied to finish second in line to David Dowling while three-year-old stakes graduate Stash It Away (Driven by Marc Campbell) was third. Doyle co-owns No Plan Intended and Mantario with partner Danny Birt. The duo also hold the ownership papers on race 8 winner First Glance (Jason Hughes) who won off the front in 1:54.2.
NO PLAN INTENDED REPLAY
Campbell made five trips to the winner’s circle Sunday for a total of nine wins from 20 races on the weekend at the capital oval. Campbell Sunday scores included race 1 with Jetster (1:56.1) for trainer Stanley Harper, race 4 with Catchme If Lou Can (1:57.1) for trainer Ralph Sweet, Premier Joy A (1:56.4) from the Colin Johnson barn in race 5, Painted Pony (1:58.1) for the pacer’s 45th lifetime win for trainer Raymond White in race 6, St Charlesfireball (1:56.3) in race 7 from his own barn and Flowersonthebeach (1:56) for trainer Jeff Wallace in the race 10 finale.
