Logan Park (Archangel) returned from his Breeders Crown attempt to the Open ranks with style on Monday (Nov. 14) at Woodbine Mohawk Park in the track’s $38,500 Handicap harness racing feature.
He trekked two-wide through the opening quarter of :27.3 to take command from Hp Mama B (Louis-Philippe Roy) entering the backstretch. The four-year-old gelding travelled to the half in :56.1 for Doug McNair and came under pressure from Locatelli (James MacDonald) while showing the way to three-quarters in 1:24.3.
Locatelli applied the blowtorch into the final eighth of a mile, but Logan Park trotted strongly to the finish and took the victory in 1:51.4.
Hp Mama B passed the tiring Locatelli late for second.
LOGAN PARK REPLAY
