Scarborough, Maine (Friday, March 6, 2015) – Following her wintertime offerings of frigid temperatures and blankets of snow, Mother Nature is slowing loosening her grip on southern Maine as the harness racing industry anxiously awaits the start of the 65th season of racing at Scarborough Downs, and the announcement of the qualifying schedule is a sure sign that the birth of the 2015 meeting is just around the corner.
Qualifying races will be held on Wednesday March 18, Saturday March 21 and Tuesday March 24 with first post time slated for 10:00 AM. Horsemen are asked to enter their horses either by written or electronic declaration by 9:00 the day prior.
Opening Day of the 2015 season at Scarborough Downs is scheduled for Saturday March 28 with a 4:00 pm (EDT) post time followed up by the popular Sunday matinee set to kick off at 1:30.
