Harness racing hits Cambridge again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 5:56pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Twice Shy (4) Drops in class for this and strike rate driver on board. One for longer odds here
Somedreamsomewhere (7) Coming into form and battled on ok last start. Winning claims in this field
Mr Wonderful  (9) Fought on ok last start. Goes well on the track and should go close to the top three

Race 2

Bellatrix (9) Manners not great but a decent motor. Hard to beat if she steps here
Ngauruhoe (3) Will be better for the last start run and not a strong field. Can run top three
Play Footsie (2) Raced ok on the Manawatu circuit and steps ok. Place hope in this

Race 3

Hey Miki Denario (6) Brings strong southern form to the race and hard to beat in this
Sparkie (8) Beaten by a nice filly in quick time last start. She should run top three here
Twist Little Girl (1) Conditions suit and likely to receive a nice run in transit. Needed

Race 4

Mercury Rising (3) Looks the early leader and is capable of beating this field on his day
Caulfield (9) Nice run for fourth last start and drawn for a run through early. Goes close in this
Mo Szyslak (8) Tricky draw but racing well. Will be finishing on well and can win

Race 5

Village Rebel (6) Producing some good efforts in handy fields. Hard to beat if handy turning for home
Loutenant (5) He will probably go forward to the front in this. Could be hard to run down here
Betterzippit (8) Tricky draw but good enough to get some money if he gets a cart into the race.

Race 6

Quik Barbie (5) Nice trotter coming in fresh. Workout form good and hard to beat with manners
Jasinova (10) One of the better trotters in the field but 30m handicap hurts. Chance if she steps quickly
Safrakova (8) Good beginner who should race handy. Distance suits and she can go close to placing

Race 7

Forever A Dancer (5) Beat a nice field here in similar conditions a month ago. One of the major players
Whooshka (8) Has run some good races against strong fields but tricky draw here. Include
Lilliburlero (4) Racing ok and short distance will suit. Can go close to top three here

Race 8

Lord Logan (8) Has looked good at trials and workouts and hard to beat fresh up here.
Osko (2) Better for the last start fifth and drawn ok. Could surprise with the right run 
Classic Gold (1) Should get a good run from the draw and he can run a cheeky race here
