Borth big at Western Fair

Harness racing driver Tyler Borth greeted the winner’s circle early and often on Friday (Dec. 9) at The Raceway at The Western Fair District.

The London-based reinsman won half of the day’s 10 races, leading at every call in four of them.

He tallied with P L Orchid (Sportswriter, 1:57.4), Come On Artie (Artspeak, 2:00.3), Commemorative (Flanagan Memory, 2:00), Scarlet Dragon (Betterthancheddar, 2:00.2), and Azucar Pipedream (No Pan Intended, 2:00.1).

It was another strong night in a career year for Borth. The 2013 Future Star Award recipient hauled in six digits in earnings for the first time this year and did it twice, with $2,032,468 across 1,810 drives so far. He also won more than 200 races for the first time and is seven victories away from reaching 300.

The next card at The Raceway at The Western Fair District is slated for a 5:50 p.m. EST start on Monday, Dec. 12.
