WASHINGTON, PA, Dec. 30, 2022 — Roll Em (Time To Roll-Fetonthedashboard) rolled from worst to first to capture Friday’s (Dec. 30) final-day harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, the $19,300 Open Handicap Pace.
Roll Em trailed by 6 lengths at the half before Dave Palone angled him off the cones to follow the live first-over cover of A Fair Ol Dance N.
When Roll Em peeled off that cover, he found a new gear and overtook Surreal Ideal in deep stretch, downing him by 3/4 lengths in 1:52.4. Wild Wild Western shot the Lightning Lane for show. Roll Em went off at odds of 6-1 and paid $14.00 to win.
Ron Burke trains Roll Em, a 4-year-old gelding who now boasts a career bankroll of $352,691, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, Frank Baldachino and Beasty LLC. It was his second straight win and tenth of the season. It was one of four wins for Palone on the 14-race card.
