Harness racing hits Winton again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 2:04pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Styrax (7) Ran home well after an early gallop last start. Can get some money with no errors
Five O’Clock Gerry (1) Improving with racing and has the form. Winning claims in this
Rata (5) Has the ability but lacking manners. Needs to step but not the worst in this field

Race 2

Donald Trot (2) Has been unlucky in several of his races. Could surprise with a better trip.
The Matriarch (3) Likely to receive a good run from the draw. Can run top three here
Mydadtheterror (10) Looked likely before galloping last start. Winning claims with luck

Race 3

Mad Jack (8) Impressive win last start and can go on with it here. Mobile will assist
Lauries Legacy (7) Speedy mare who will appreciate the mobile. Winning claims in this field
Madrik (13) Conditions suit and he can win if he trots all the way. Include in this field

Race 4

Better Be Watching (3) Has been unlucky but has speed. Capable of beating this field on her day
Sweet Southern Lass (6) Slightly easier field than on debut. Improver who can give a good sight
Baileys Art (1) Tidy draw and racing well. Should go close to placing in this field.

Race 5

Sophie (3) Easy win last start and will keep on improving One of the better chances in this field.
I’m Watching You (9) Should get a cosy run on the fence. Can surprise with gaps in the straight
Tisbury Rocks (7) Has hit a purple patch of form and draw the only concern. Needed here.

Race 6

Andy Hall (9) Good run on grass last start and weaker field here. Hard to beat even from 30m
Jimmy Carter (6) 50/50 whether he steps cleanly but good enough to win if he does. Include
Mixed Faith (5) Two good wins in a row and a decent chance to make it three straight

Race 7

Gotta Elect Bill (6) Coming in fresh but has the speed to win if fit enough. One of the major players
Step It Up A Notch (11) Has run some good races against stronger fields. Winning claims with luck
Quaddie VC (13) Tricky draw but will appreciate the bigger track. Can go close to top three here

Race 8

Joes Rock (9) Big effort to win last start. Freshened but should run top three in this field
Better’s Tart (8) Nice cup win last start and will start favourite here. Can win again
Tayla Me (4) Racing ok but tough test for her here. Place chances look best.

Race 9

Miki Knows (8) Galloped on grass last start but has been good on grit. Tricky draw but can win
Tabasco (5) Racing well in stronger fields. Draw suits and a big winning chance in this field
McLean (11) Should get a run through from the draw. Could surprise in this field at longer odds

Race 10

Mr Teddy (2) Likely to head forward off the gate here and short trip suits. Can go close
Always Smokin (3) Has trialed well and drawn ok. One of the better chances in an even field
James Garner (1) Freshened and should get a cosy run from the draw. Chance at longer odds
