Chase Lounge hangs tough in feature

WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 11, 2023 — Used hard from post 8, 1-2 favorite Chase Lounge (Sweet Lou-Lounge Act) still had enough in the tank to hold off the late challenge of Slick Artist A en route to victory in Wednesday’s (Jan. 11) harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.

Chase Lounge took a seat fourth when Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. sent her forward, then moved to the point at the quarter. Slick Artist A, who had a similarly challenging trip from post 7, loomed large in the lane.

Chase Lounge dug in and thwarted the challenger by a length in 1:53.1, with Leave Her Wild a rallying third.

Ron Burke trains Chase Lounge, a 5-year-old mare who pushed her career bankroll to $235,088, for Burke Racing Stable, Eric Good and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.
