WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 13, 2023 — Wild Wild Western (Western Ideal-Caila Fra) held off his harness racing challengers inside and outside in deep stretch and captured Friday’s (Jan. 13) $21,200 Open Handicap Pace at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
The front-ending Wild Wild Western enjoyed a 29.3 second-quarter breather but found himself confronted late by the first-over Surreal Ideal outside and the pocket-sitting A Fair Ol Dance N in the Lightning Lane.
Wild Wild Western dug in for Brady Brown and prevailed in 1:52.4 over a “good” surface. A Fair Ol Dance N was a head back in second with Surreal Ideal third.
Norm Parker trains Wild Wild Western, who now boasts 34 victories and earnings of $557,746 in 100 career starts, for Jacobs Creek Racing, Andrew Altobelli and Jon Deters. The seven-year-old stallion paid $4.20 to win.
