Horsy Dream (6m Scipion du Goutier-Bonanza du Closeet) rallied past pacesetter Beads and carried on to the 1.13.3kr timed Gr. II Prix de Belgique at Paris-Vincennes Sunday, January 15 (Prix d’Amerique ZeTurf Q6, purse 120,000€, 2850 meters for 4–11-year-old International trotteurs). It was the second Prix d’Amerique qualifier won by Horsy Dream.
Eric Raffin teamed the Pierre Belloche trainee for Ecurie du Closet as the winner scored his 14th career victory now for 433,370€ earned. Race fractions were 1.12.9kr at the 1500 meters to go mark; 1.13.5kr at the 1000; 1.14.1kr with 500 meters remaining.
Second finishing at 101/1 Hirondelle Sibey and fourth finishing 3.4/1 Gu d’Heripre were both disqualified. That moved 9/1 Decoloration (10f Prince d’Espace) to placed second with Gabriele Gelormini up and 5.2/1 Hohneck (6m Royal Dream) was fifth placed third with Francois Lagadeuc at the lines. Hooker Berry (6m Booster Winner) at 2.4/1 was sixth placed fourth with 14/1 Beads (6m Archangel) seventh placed fifth after setting the even pace. Bleff Dipa, Vernissage Grif and Moni Viking followed these.
The Prix d’Amerique qualifiers now include Hip Hop Haufor, Italiano Vero, Ampia Mede SM, Hooker Berry, Hussard du Landret, Etonnant, Horsy Dream, Idao de Tillard, Delia du Pommereux, Flamme di Goutier, Decoloration and Hohneck. The recent winners Horsy Dream and Idao de Tillard have shown excellent form.
