Down Under Winners from North America – 17th January

Waitforever NZ (American Ideal) completed a harness racing hat trick in an $18,000 Filly and Mare Open in 1:52.6 at Northfield Park, Ohio on Friday night (January 13).

Starting from the No. 8 gate, the six-year-old American Ideal mare worked to the front approaching the half-way point and then held off all challengers to score by a head. She has now earned $US110,981.

At The Meadowlands, the New Zealand bred five-year-old gelding Nevada came from a long way back to win a leg of the GSY Series in 1:55.6.
