Major League N (Gotta Go Cullen) went back to The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Wednesday (Feb. 1) after a trip to Mohawk and captured the Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace.
The 10-year-old cut the mile for harness racing driver Ed Hensley with fractions of :27.2, :57.4, and 1:26.4. So Frisky (Colin Kelly) attacked late from the pocket but fell three-quarters-of-a-length short as Major League N won the feature in 1:57.4. So Frisky was second. Charmbo Brie (Paul Mackenzie) was third.
MAJOR LEAGUE N REPLAY
Major League N has made three successful raids to B-track Preferreds in the last two months while racing mainly at the conditioned levels at Woodbine Mohawk Park. The mare last won the Jan. 18 Fillies and Mares Preferred Handicap at The Raceway at the Western Fair District. It was her 28th career victory in 120 tries and upped her earnings to $262,868. Ashleigh Hensley trains and co-owns with Ed Hensley.
Driver Travis Henry had four winners on the 11-race card.
The Raceway at the Western Fair District will continue racing on Friday, Feb. 3 with a 10-race program beginning at 4:50 p.m. EST.
