Harness racing hits Cambridge again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 6:01pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

American Muscle (3) Tidy run for fourth last start and trainers do well here. Winning claims here
Safrakova (8) Reliable from a stand and won well last start. Early leader and can run top three
Quik Sharnie (9) Racing well and needs to step but good enough to get some money here

Race 2

Who’s Delight (13) Close to the best maiden in the country. Looks over the odds in this
Judine (3) Likely to receive a good run from the draw. Can run top three and John Dunn drives this one
Jethro Bodine (8) Tough draw but has ability. Place hope with luck in the running.

Race 3

Treacherous Reign (1) Impressive win here last year. Should go close from the draw
Poetry In Motion (12) South Island visitor who has some speed. Winning claims in this field
John Wayne (4) Conditions suit and he can surprise with the right run in transit. Include

Race 4

Merlin (8) Coming in fresh but races well here. Very hard to roll if he can find the front
Son Of Mac (5) Raced well in Canterbury and goes well fresh. Could trouble the favourite
Alta Meteor (7) Tricky draw but racing well. Good enough to be a threat in this. Needed

Race 5

Double Delight (8) Probably the best trotter in the field. Big winning chance if she can step early.
Mountain Mass (2) Gets a headstart on the favourite and good last start. One of the better chances
Anditover (6) Has been racing in stronger fields and races well on the track. Needed here.

Race 6

Forever Me (6) Underrated pacer who has gate speed. Hard to beat here if she can lead early
Blameitonthenight (4) Disappointing but well placed from the draw. One of the better chances
The Brave (1) Likely to get a good run on the fence. Should go close to top three from the draw

Race 7

Chimichurri (5) Decent draw and fast off the gate. One of the major players in this field
Melanion (4) Better suited on this track and from the mobile. Has claims with a good trip
Major Perry (8) Good pacer coming back fresh. Can go close to top three and will be finishing fast

Race 8

Shesgold (5) Freshened and showed ability on debut. Looks stronger and can run top three
Special Effects (4) Big motor but lacking manners. Winning claims if he gets around safely
Dream Of You (13) Racing ok but tricky handicap. Can run a cheeky race with manners
