The Sky Racing Carnival of Miracles, Australia’s premier Harness Racing event returns this Saturday with a Free Kids Carnival featuring the Cordina Chickens Farms Chariots of Fire.
There will be plenty of free entertainment for the entire family with amusement rides, pony rides, petting farm, face painters, food trucks and live music complemented with the feature race the $250,000 Cordina Chicken Farms Chariots of Fire.
The carnival atmosphere continues with Schweppes Ladies Night on Saturday 25 February. The evening is a celebration of the contribution of ladies in the industry with feature racing for the fillies and mares, including the $200,000 Pryde’s Easifeed Queen Elizabeth II Mile, $200,000 John Gibson Memorial NSW Oaks Final and $50,000 Allied Express Pink Bonnet.
Schweppes Ladies Night also sees the NSW Derby Heats and the qualifying sprints for the Garrards Miracle Mile ($100,000 Allied Express Sprint & $100,000 Schweppes Sprint).
Racegoers are encouraged to don their most fashionable attire and enter the Fashions on the Field competition open to both Ladies and Gentlemen for the chance to win a share in $5000 cash prize pool.
The Grand Circuit event, the Garrards Miracle Mile, is the culmination of an exciting 15-day carnival period. The final field of elite pacers will take on Australasia’s richest 1609 metre Speed Pacing Championship with a $1 million purse.
The field is assembled from the Newcastle Mile winner, Cordina Chariots of Fire winner, Allied Express Sprint & Schweppes Sprint top two placegetters. The balance of the field is selected from horses that competed in the Chariots of Fire or the qualifying Sprint races.
Also adding to the racing excitement is the $200,000 Group One NSW Derby Final over 2400m, Hammerhead Trotters Mile of $125,000 over 1609m, The Light Horse Free For All of $100,000, $50,000 Sapling Stakes for two-year-old pacers and $25,000 Waratah Final.
Off the track racegoers can expect delicious food trucks, live music and entertainment. Menangle Country Club will host the official After Party from 10.30pm and is open until late.

General Admission entry to all nights is free with hospitality packages available starting from $55. Hospitality options include the premier Miracle Mile Restaurant and Tempus Two Marquee. The packages will feature uninhibited racetrack views, dedicated wait service, premium beverage packages and delicious food.
