Sizzlen Hot Herbie (Here Comes Herbie) won his second straight Preferred Trot in a last-to-first harness racing effort completed in the last quarter mile at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Tuesday (Feb. 21).
The gelding was stuck parked out through the opening quarter but quickly got some cover and remained fourth-over on the rim through the middle panels. Natasha Day swung him four-wide from last on the final turn, and Sizzlen Hot Herbie caught fire at the top of the stretch to motor home and out-kick O Narutac Perfetto (Scott Coulter) by a nose in 1:58. Andy Over (Ed Hensley) finished third after a prolonged first-over effort.
