Salive retiring, Ocean Downs seeking announcer

With the impending retirement of track announcer, Frank Salive, Ocean Downs seeks the services of a highly qualified individual to announce the harness racing for the 2023 live race meet.

“Frank has informed me that he plans to retire”, said Ocean Downs Director of Racing, Peter Szymanski. “The impending Canadian Hall of Famer will be missed down here. The folks loved his calls.”

Salive is one of Canada’s most famous announcers and will be inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame this year.

The 48 day Ocean Downs meet begins Sunday , May 28, 2023 and continues through Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
