Therealprincess qualifies at Mohawk

East-coast phenomenon Therealprincess (Source Of Pride) hit Woodbine Mohawk Park for the first time in Saturday’s (Mar. 18) qualifiers as she gears up for the harness racing season under new connections.

The four-year-old jogged, stopping the clock in 1:59.1 in a gate-to-wire performance in line to Jonathan Drury.

Therealprincess won 15 of her 16 starts last season in the Maritimes, all of which were stakes races. Her only loss came as a shock defeat in her division of the Atlantic Breeders Crown. Her connections sold her to Frank Brundle of East Garafraxa in February. Carmen Auciello has been handed the mare, who is 20-for-28 lifetime with $141,568 in earnings.
