Oney Hall (Deweycheatumnhowe), a top-level harness racing contender at Woodbine Mohawk Park the last two seasons, strung together a second straight win on Monday (Mar. 20) and looks back on track.

Oney Hall finishes strongly for a second straight win

The gelding pulled the trigger first but picked up cover as the field approached three-quarters. Trevor Henry showed him daylight down the lane, and Oney Hall forged to the front. He got home in 1:55, a half-length ahead of the game Tokyo Seelster (Sylvain Fillion) and White Tiger (James MacDonald) at the pylons. Duly Resolved (Paul MacDonell) was making his seasonal debut and finished fourth.

ONEY HALL REPLAY

Oney Hall’s career totals now read 29 wins and $495,894 in earnings from 94 appearances. Chantal Mitchell now trains the gelding for Alan Leavitt of Lexington. The seven-year-old is now two-for-three this year.

Woodbine Mohawk Park resumes racing on Thursday, Mar. 23.
