Outlaw C My Shadow (Shadow Play) romped again to his ninth consecutive harness racing victory in the Fraser Downs Open on Friday (Mar. 31).
The gelding went all the way again despite a sloppy surface and an assigned post seven. He paced a fast first quarter of :26.2 for Brandon Campbell and kept his seven six challengers in line through :57.1 and 1:25.2 middle splits. Itll Be Fine (Kelly Hoerdt) moved out to attack and stuck with him into the lane, but Outlaw C My Shadow pulled away under urging to score by three-and-a-quarter lengths in 1:53.3. Itll Be Fine finished second. Mach Steady was well back in third.
