The Meadows Standardbred Owners Association (MSOA) is pleased to announce that is it now accepting applications for its 2023-2024 MSOA Collegiate harness racing scholarships.

Thanks to the help of generous partners, this year will feature one of the most lucrative scholarship offerings in the lengthy history of the program, with almost $30,000 available to the winners.

“We can’t thank our partners enough,” said MSOA President Rich Gillock.  “We’ve been very happy with our offerings in the past years, but this year everyone has gone above and beyond to make sure this program is successful.”

This year’s scholarships include:

$10,000 Bob Key Memorial Scholarship
$5,000 MSOA Board of Directors Scholarship
$5,000 Burke Racing Scholarship
$3,900 Heston Blue Chip Scholarship – donated by Winbak Farms
$2,500 CSC Insurance Options Scholarship
$2,200 Betting Line Scholarship – donated by Hanover Shoe Farms
$1,000 The Meadows Racetrack Scholarship

Applicants must be a son or daughter of an owner, trainer, driver or groom who has participated in harness racing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on a regular basis over the past 2 years preceding the application.  Said parent must be a member of the MSOA, and the applicant must at least be a senior in high school.  One application covers all of the above listed scholarships.

An independent committee at the Harness Horse Youth Foundation will review the applicants and determine the winners of each individual award.
