Exotic Dragon (Custard The Dragon) held off the closing So Frisky to win the harness racing Fillies and Mares Preferred at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Wednesday (Apr. 19), reversing the positions of the week prior.
Exotic Dragon, driven by Travis Cullen, completed a give-and-go move at the quarter in :27.1 and held the lead through middle panels of :57 and 1:25.1 with Saulsbrook Jessie (Brett MacDonald) on her right flank the whole way.
So Frisky (Colin Kelly) flung widest on the far turn, attempting to circle from fourth-over as Exotic Dragon opened up by two lengths. So Frisky made up three lengths in the lane and was surging on the outside, but she was two-and-a-quarter lengths short of Exotic Dragon. The leader sealed the victory with a clocking of 1:55.2.
So Frisky got up for second. Saulsbrook Jessie held third in a blanket finish.

Racing at The Raceway will be back on Friday, Apr. 21 at 5:50 p.m. EDT.
