New York, NY — Above a mountain top in northeastern Pennsylvania might be one of the most important places in boxing history. Along with a boxing gym and multiple cabins sits a horse stable — just feet away from the boxing ring where Muhammad Ali, arguably the greatest boxer to ever live, trained during his career.
Ali built what he endearingly called “Fighter’s Heaven” in the remote serenity of Deer Lake. The camp became a magnet to the biggest stars and names, wanting to witness Ali train for some of the biggest boxing matches in history. But what a lot of people don’t know is that Ali spent a lot of his down time with his horses.
His hometown of Louisville, Ky., is known as the horse capital of the world, and that plays a huge part.
Muhammad Ali Enterprises selected Siegelman to showcase rare images of the G.O.A.T. at Deer Lake because of the fashion brand’s influence on streetwear and shared value in strength. Siegelman Stable, fresh off some huge collaborations with the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs, Kygo’s Palm Tree Crew, Johnnie Walker Blue Label, and in-house collections, is honored to add another dimension to Ali’s iconic, eternal iconography.
The Muhammad Ali x Siegelman Stable collection consists of six pieces: three hats featuring Ali-themed embroidery and his signature, a crewneck short-sleeved sweatshirt picturing four unreleased Ali photos, boxing shorts made from deadstock material with Siegelman Stable embroidered tag, and boxing wraps.
