Harness racing driver Daniel Clements tallied a quadruple with four consecutive wins at the lines at Hiawatha Horse Park on Saturday (May 13).

The reinsman’s mount proved much the best in the first three wins. Living Proof I Am (Prayer I Am), making his Canadian debut, vaulted out of the pocket and trotted four lengths clear of the pacesetter to win by four lengths in 1:58.2. It was the eight-year-old gelding’s first start for trainer Stewart McQueen, who bought the eight-year-old from the New York circuit in partnership with Lou Sorella, Donald MacLellan, and James Grant.

Dontdoubtthelakers (Dontgetinmyway, 1:59.1) and Sweetest Hustle (Sportswriter, 1:57.2) both cut the mile and cruised to victories of five and four-and-a-quarter lengths respectively. McQueen also owns and trains the former.

Clements completed his grand slam by getting Sea Change N (Somebeachsomewhere, 1:56.4) by the leader and keeping him in front of Woodmere Rollnpop (Scott Wray) by a half-length. The latter finished second.

Clements is now 29-for-258 this year. He is in his second season since returning from retirement in spring 2022. He has 2,647 career wins and more than $20 million in earnings.

Hiawatha Horse Park’s next card is scheduled for Saturday, May 20.
