Garnet Barnsdale joins Harnesslink staff

Harnesslink is pleased to announce the addition of award-winning harness racing writer Garnet Barnsdale to its staff.

Barnsdale has provided both content to several industry publications and regularly appears on harness racing podcasts. In 2020, he won an O’Brien Award for Media Excellence for a feature that he wrote on the late Bill Galvin.

The Toronto, Ontario native, a graduate of the Humber College School of Journalism, says he is pumped to get started for Harnesslink.

“I’m really excited to be joining a great sfaff of writers and I hope to offer some new and interesting content that will get some new eyes on the Harnesslink brand,” he exclaims.  “This is such a great opportunity to promote the sport that we all love.”

Barnsdale will be providing racing and handicapping content focusing on American racetracks, effective immediately. His son, Nicholas “Ace” Barnsdale, also works for Harnesslink as Canadian Editor.
