CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Share The Moment (Control The Moment) capped off a top notch four win night for newly minted Hall Of Famer Gilles Barrieau on Thursday evening at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Gilles Barrieau

Share The Moment sat and stalked in the four-hole for most of the mile in the $3,500 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace but powered up in the stretch to surge to a one-and-a-half length victory in 1:54.4 for driver Barrieau, trainer Bo Ford and owners Arnold Myers, Scott Bridges, Luke Beck and John MacDougall. Atlantic Star (Driven by Mike McGuigan) was second ahead of Acefortyfour Dome (Jason Hughes).

Barrieau, who was recently inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall Of Fame, had four wins on the evening including victories with Outrageous Style (Hes Watching, 1:56.2) for trainer Ron Matheson, Gosistersoulsister (Arthur Blue Chip, 1:58) from the Jamie Smith barn and Red Dirt Flash (Malicious, 2:00) from his own stable.

Colin Johnson scored a training double to continue to lead the standings at Red Shores Charlottetown. The England native visited the winner’s circle with New Legacy (Adam Merner) in 1:59 in the $3,100 Open Trot and Shes So Sweet (Marc Campbell) won the finale in 1:56.1.

David Dowling had a driving triple winning with Mrs Dragonfire (1:59.3) for Reg Ferguson, Windmerenoharmdone (2:00.1) for trainer Travis Wilkie and Fluentocity (1:57.4) for conditioner Blaine Baglole.

Live racing continues Saturday evening at 6 P.M. at Red Shores Charlottetown.
