Etonnant takes Finland’s Kyli Grand Prix

Etonnant (9m Timoko-Migraine-Alligator) overcame a three and four wide journey with Anthony Barrier driving, eventually overcoming pacesetter Callmethebreeze in the final bend and then holding off the surging Go On Boy to win the Kymi Grand Prix in Finland (100,000€ to the winner, 170,000€ total purse, part of the UET Elite Circuit, 2100 meters autostart) timed in 1.10.5kr.

Off as the 2.04/1 odds favorite this Richard Westerink owned and trained winner now has a 25-17-6 slate in 91 career starts for 2,460,710€ earned.

Go On Boy (7m Password-Blaginette-Hasting) was a game 3.42/1 odds second for trainer/driver Romain Derieux and owner Caroline Logier and Callmethebreeze (5m Trixton-Gilly LB-Supergill) was a tired third at 10.24/1 with Gabriele Gelormini up for owner/trainer Philippe Allaire.

Ultion Face was scratched. Hierro Boko and Ideal du Rocher earned the fourth and fifth checks. Etonnant is expected to make a trip to the USA to race in the International Trot.
