Miller drives three including feature

Ilikemebettor A (Bettor’s Delight) and driver Marcus Miller captured the $11,000 Open 2 Handicap Pace on Sunday (June 18) at Tioga Downs.

Ilikemebettor A ($2.50) went to the front and led to the quarter in :27.0.  Rifleman (Brandon Parker) was first to make a move going first-up heading to the clubhouse turn.  Ilikemebettor A used a :28.1 second quarter to lead to the half in :55.1.

The two continued to battle all the way down the backstretch.  Ilikemebettor A was first to three-quarters in 1:23.2.

As they made the turn for home Ilikemebettor A had another gear and won in 1:51.1.  Rifleman had to settle for second.  Mirragon A (Tyler Miller) finished third.

Ilikemebettor A is a 7-year-old gelding by Bettor’s Delight.  He is trained by Erv Miller for owners Douglass Overhiser and the Erv Miller Stables.  It was his first win this season.  He now has 13 career victories.

Marcus Miller drove three winners on the card.

Louie wins the Bulldog race final.
