Harness Analyst – Northfield Park 21st June

We have a competitive 15-race harness racing card tonight at the “Home of the Flying Turns”, Northfield Park. Here are my selections and multi-race tickets for the entire program.

BEST BET: MEADOWLAND BOSA – Race 15

SPOT PLAY: DEVOTED BEAUTY – Race 7

$1 Pick 4 – Race 2 – 1,3,5,7/3,7/5,8/1,5,6 = $48

$1 Pick 5 – Race 6 – 1,2,3,7,8/7/2,3,4/1,2,6/5 = $45

$1 Pick 4 – Race 11 – 1,2,3,7/2,5/3,5/5 = $16

Race 1 – 4-1-8-2-3

The lid lifter includes a High-5 bet and I’ll side with (4) LONG BALL as the top choice. The son of Long Tom has been facing tougher and he exits some fast races. He should show sharp improvement in this spot.

Race 2 – 7-1-5-3

We kick off the $1 Pick 4 here with a group of two-year-old trotters. The Stable’s (7) REALLY DON’T CARE qualified nicely over this track for this debut and he showed he could overcome a wide post. I’ll give him a slight nod.

Race 3 – 7-3-2-9

(7) REICHERS CAVIAR was sharp in defeat here last week when coming off a sick scratch and she gets the nod to notch a slight upset here.

Race 4 – 8-5-3-1

(8) BORN TO DANCE was flying late last week but he started up too late. He wins this with a decent trip from post 8.

Race 5 – 5-1-6-2

(5) BARLEY A TEASE paced a huge winning mile on a fair track and this field should also be within his reach.

Race 6 – 1-8-7-2

The Pick 5 kicks off here with a full field of lightly-raced two-year-old pacers. I like the late speed that (1) SEEUATTHESMOKE showed in his qualifier raced on a fair track and he gets the nod because he drew best.

Race 7 – 7-6-1-5

(7) DEVOTED BEAUTY drops from non-winners of two to face easier maidens here and if he can clear to the front, he should be gone on the lead.

Race 8 – 4-3-2-1

(4) PRING GAL jogged in this class two starts back and she is the one to beat here.

Race 9 – 5-2-1-4

(5) COUNTS CUSTOM faces easier here and he should wake up in this maiden race; top  call.

Race 10 – 5-3-1-4

(5) OVER AND BACK went a big trip to win last week here and take a new lifetime mark, which is also the fastest of any horse in this race. Call to repeat.

Race 11- 7-2-1-3

This first leg of the late Pick 4 looks like it can set up for (7) FREEBORN, who will likely look to sit and pounce late from his wide post.

Race 12 – 5-2-1-4-

(5) JOHNNY ROCKETTE should be tough in here picking up the leading driver. He could lead all the way tonight.

Race 13 – 5-3-1-6

(5) MO POWER BABY had broken equipment that caused her to go off stride last week. That incident shouldn’t be repeated here and she can make amends for that loss as the 1 to 5 favorite.

Race 14 – 7-2-4-5

(7) CHIPETER gets Hunter Myers back in the bike tonight and that can make the difference; top call.

Race 15 – 5-2-4-1

(5) MEDOLAND BOSA is the only class dropper in this field and Presley should send him right down the road.
