NYSS County Fair Series kicking off at Goshen

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) is announcing that the 2023 County Fair Series will kick off July 3 at the Goshen Historic Track in Goshen, N.Y. Post time for the first race is 1:00 p.m.

The 2023 County Fair Series will consist of 19 non-parimutuel harness racing events open to eligible 2- and 3-year-old standardbreds across New York State. The NYSS County Fair Series offers young horses an opportunity learn and gain experience in New York harness racing programs while still earning profits from each race.

“We are excited to get the County Fair Series started and bring together highly competitive harness racing in an environment that is enjoyable for the whole family” said Ralph Scunziano, Executive Director of the Agriculture and New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund.

The full schedule of race dates can be viewed on the New York Sire Stakes website. The County Fair Series Finals are scheduled for September 1 at the Saratoga Harness Track.
