Harness racing trainer Jackie Greene teamed up with driver Jay Randall for a hat trick at Saratoga Casino Hotel on Saturday (July 1) evening.
Hudson Phil (Shanghai Phil) started the ball rolling in the seventh race, a $7,500 condition pace, for Team Greene-Randall.
As the gate pulled away, Hudson Phil settled in along the rail, but as soon as American Rebel (Luke Hanners) cleared the front and just before the quarter in :28, Randall was on the move with Hudson Phil. The pair took over command and kept going through the half in :57 and three quarters in 1:25. Hudson never looked back as he kept pedaling to a two length victory in 1:53.4. American Rebel pocketed second and Major Camby (Leon Bailey) was third.
Hudson Phil, owned by the Kellogg Racing Stables LLC, earned his 42nd career win, moving his career earnings to $690,119.

Artful Way is no stranger to the winner’s circle as the eleven-year-old Artistic Fella-Art Debut son made his 75th trip to get his picture taken in the $11,500 condition pace.
Randall followed the pocket trip behind Toatsmygoats (Jim Devaux) through panels in :27.4, :57.2, and 1:25 before tipping out in the final turn. Down the stretch, Herrickroosevelt N, Mr Perfect N, and Artful Way battled for the win. Artful Way prevailed by a half-length in 1:53.3. Herrickroosevelt N (Mitchell Cushing) was second and Mr Perfect N (Billy Dobson) finished third.

Greene trains Artful Way for Kellogg Racing Stables LLC as he moved his career bankroll to $852,715.
Im No Outlaw N (Bettors Delight-Ideal Pocket) posted the fastest mile time of the Greene triad, winning the $14,500 Winners Over Pace in 1:52.3.
The eight-year-old gelding controlled the tempo in :26.4, :56.2, and 1:24.1 before pulling off to a 1-3/4 length victory. Century Endeavor (Wally Hennessey) finished second and Six Degrees (Matthew Athearn) was third.
Co-owned by Kellogg Racing Stables LLC and Jackie Greene Stables LLC, Im No Outlaw N has 24 wins to go along with $173,518 in career earnings.
There was an accident in the Winners Over race in which drivers Luke Hanners and Leon Bailey were transported to hospital for further medical assessment. Odds On Blockchain walked off the track and Mikibytheseaside was transported to a local facility for further medical evaluation. Updates will be provided as they are known.
After winning the evening nightcap, Saratoga honored Jim Devaux for his 7,000th driving win which was earned on June 28th at Monticello Raceway.
Racing at the Spa resumes on Sunday (July 2) for a matinee card with a first post of 12 p.m.
