One of the marquee harness racing events on Clinton Raceway’s schedule, the Kin Pace, will go down on Sunday. A field of eight three-year-old fillies that are non-winners of $50,000 will assemble behind the starting gate for the eleventh and final race on the card.

I like Getting Euchred (All Bets Off) to take home the crown on Sunday afternoon. She dominated the field in the elimination by going wire-to-wire in 1:58.1. She euchred her opponents and took all the points for herself. Getting Euchred has visited the winner’s circle three times this year and eight times in her career. She has spent a fair amount of time on half-mile ovals, and five of her career wins have come on the half-mile track. Travis Henry will have driving duties for the Brent Belore entry.
The morning line favourite is Ima Doll (Control The Moment), rightfully so, after her dominant performance in the elimination dash. She cruised wire-to-wire in 1:57.1 to clinch her spot in the finals. It was also Ima Doll’s third win of the year and fourth lifetime. She has spent most of her time racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park but has also had some experience on the half-mile oval before last weekend. Tyler Borth will climb aboard again in the final, and the duo will likely receive most of the betting dollars.
For third place, I will go with the filly from the far outside, Bala (Sportswriter). She will be paired up with Doug McNair. This will be the fourth time McNair will be on the bike with Bala, and their record together is two wins and a second. The two have some excellent chemistry and will likely make noise in the final. Bala only had one win in 2023, but it came with McNair in the bike. She finished fourth in the eliminations and just secured her spot in the finals. I expect a big turnaround this weekend.
Trey’s Picks: 4-3-8
Clinton Raceway will host eleven races on Sunday, starting at 1:30 P.M. Sunday.
