Adashious Hanover makes big first impression at Northfield

Northfield, OH – Sometimes shippers need a week, and Adashious Hanover (Captaintreacherous), a $120,000 Harrisburg yearling, proved she was the real deal on Saturday (July 15), scoring a powerful harness racing victory in the $20,000 feature at MGM Northfield Park.

Leaving alertly from post five, Adashious Hanover (Billy Davis Jr.) bided her time; when she didn’t make the lead, she took a hole in fourth into the first turn.

That allowed Lydeo (Brett Miller) and A Delightful Act N (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.) to duel early for the lead. A Delightful Act N managed to work her way to the lead and got to the quarter in :26.2.

Through the stretch for the first time, Adashious Hanover began her bid for the lead matching strides with the leader past the half in :55.3. Into the backstretch for the final time, Adashious Hanover worked her way to the lead and kicked clear by three-quarters in 1:23.

Davis wouldn’t have to move another muscle as Adashious Hanover was on cruise control through the stretch, winning by 3-1/4 lengths in 1:51.4. Owned by Thunder Racing Stables, trainer Cory Kreiser and Melissa Loyer, the mare pushed her earnings to $225,709.
