20 enter Hambletonian, 16 enter Oaks

Cranbury, NJ — The 98th Hambletonian Stakes for 3-year-old harness racing trotters attracted 20 entrants Tuesday morning, requiring two $100,000 eliminations Saturday at The Meadowlands. The elims will feature 15 colts and five geldings.

Sixteen 3-year-old fillies entered the Hambletonian Oaks, which will require two $40,000 eliminations Saturday at The Big M.

The draws for the eliminations will be released later today. The $1 million Hambletonian final and $500,000 Hambletonian Oaks final will be contested Aug. 5 at The Meadowlands.
