LIvestream of Adios Day starts at 11:45 a.m.

WASHINGTON, PA, July 29, 2023 — Saturday is Adios Day at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, featuring the $350,000 final of the Delvin Miller Adios Pace for the Orchids as well as five other Grand Circuit stakes . . . and all the exciting harness racing action is available to viewers, at no cost, via the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association (MSOA) livestream.

You can enjoy the livestream at the MSOA Facebook page and YouTube channel. The livestream show, which begins at 11:45 AM, will be hosted by Meadows race caller Jeff Zidek, prominent harness announcer Gabe Prewitt and PHRA’s Dawnelle Mock.

The Adios goes as race 15 on the 16-race card.

The program offers a total of $170,000 in guaranteed pools, including an innovative “Adios Pick8,” which requires players to correctly pick the winners of eight consecutive races concluding with the Adios. The base wager is 20 cents with a low takeout of 15 percent. The Adios Pick8 is structured as must pay, so that if there are no tickets with all eight winners, the pool won’t be carried over. In that case, the ticketholders with the most correct picks will share the payout, which is guaranteed at $15,000 by The Meadows, the MSOA and the United States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Initiative.

And if you’re worried that those potentially lucrative wagers will generate long lines at betting windows, the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Association (PHRA) has a cool alternative. Throughout the card, PHRA ‘s “Wager Warriors” will be patrolling the apron with mobile terminals to take bets from fans.
