Q Ts Charlie (Proven Lover) tallied his fourth win of the harness racing season in the top class at Northside Downs on Thursday (Aug. 10).
The gelding reached the top from the rail in a :29.4 first quarter for Shawn Lynk and protected position as Elm Grove Qwiggly (Lawrence Snow) went first-up nearing the half in 1:01.2.
Q Ts Charlie lengthened his lead over Elm Grove Qwiggly heading to three-quarters in 1:29.4 and kept the persistent challenger at bay to the end in 1:59.
Elm Grove Qwiggly was a length-and-a-quarter in arrears at the line. Runaway Mystery (Harold Leblanc) finished third.

Q Ts Charlie has visited the winnerās circle 21 times and has earned $24,765 in 79 outings for John Murphy of Port Hawkesbury. Jeremy Baker trains the seven-year-old.
Also on the card, young driver Keigan Madden ā with one prior career win ā recorded his first driving triple. He teamed up with trained Richard OāDonnell for the milestone day, steering his trainees Farmers Fieldstone (Artspeak, 2:03.2), Shadowcross Hooper (Ameripan Gigolo, 2:00), and Shifting Views (Big Jim, 2:00.1) to victory. Madden, who debuted on May 20, is now four-for-24 in his rookie year.
Northside Downs is set to continue racing on Saturday, Aug. 26.
