Nathan Jack and The Bigboss (Bettor’s Delight) ran their harness racing rivals ragged in tonight’s (Aug. 11) $175,000 Alabar Bloodstock Nutrien Equine Classic (2YO Colts & Geldings) Final.
The Bigboss ($3) worked to the lead from its wide front row draw while his main danger Bay Of Biscay ($1.50 fav) was eased at the start from the inside second row alley by James Herbertson.
Bay Of Biscay made a mid-race move to sit parked outside the leader as Jack increased the tempo with a 27.3 back straight quarter before bounding away in the home straight to score by 17 metres from Bay Of Biscay.
HE TURNS THE TABLES!

Jack said the son of Bettors Delight caught his eye at the Nutrien Yearling Sales.
“He was a Bettors Delight and although he was very fat at the time he was just a great looking horse,” Jack said.
Jack admitted The Bigboss has been a work in progress.
“Don’t worry he hasn’t been easy, he was hard to get going and hard to get gaited but the penny is dropping now,” he said.
“He did a lot more galloping than pacing for a long time.”
Jack conceded he was keen to establish a genuine tempo knowing the favorite was forced to work in the run.
“I knew how hard it would have been for Bay Of Biscay to loop the field off the track running that time,” he said.
Jack indicated The Bigboss will have a week off before being prepared to contest the Breeders Crown in November
