Legendary Hanover (Huntsville) added an emphatic stakes final harness racing victory to his perfect career record as he crushed his two-year-old pacing colt opponents in the $84,500 Dream Maker on Saturday (Aug. 12) at Woobdine Mohawk Park.
Bob McClure sat the colt third for the opening quarter of :27 and ordered him to the front in the second panel. Legendary Hanover pushed out to a two-and-a-half-length lead at the half in :56 and hit high gear to move six-and-a-half-lengths clear at three-quarters in 1:23.1. He straightened for home on top, and no rival had an answer as he soared to a nine-and-a-quarter-length triumph in 1:50. At Ease Hanover (Sylvain Filion) was best of the rest over Cupid Shuffle (Louis-Philippe Roy).

Legendary Hanover, a $260,000 Lexington Select sale purchase, is unbeaten in three starts for trainer Tony Beaton and has collected $60,250 in the process. West Wins Stable of Wellington, Eric Good of Davidsonville, and Mark Duman of Pine Bush own the freshman colt.
Elodie Hanover (Betting Line) gave Beaton a sweep of the stakes finals as she won the $75,500 Whenuwishuponastar final for rookie filly pacers. Tyler Borth directed the filly to execute a brush from third to take over on the backstretch, and Elodie Hanover dictated the terms from there. Reigning Jade (McClure) chased her from the pocket, but Elodie Hanover had her number and rolled home to a two-length victory in 1:52.1. Staying With Emily (Tyler Jones) finished third.

Elodie Hanover is now two-for-four lifetime with $52,150 in earnings. It was also a stakes double for West Wins Stable, who combined with Pit Bull Stable of River Vale to buy the filly for $69,000 from the Harrisburg sale.
The card also featured a $48,000 Free For All Pace won by Momas Son Byrne (Sunshine Beach). The gelding overhauled pacesetter Carbine (Phil Hudon) late and held off Warrawee Vital (Trevor Henry) for a 1:49.2 victory. The latter was short by a neck, and Carbine was beaten by a half-length in third.
MOMAS SON BYRNE REPLAY
Momas Son Byrneās win was her 16th lifetime and her first in a Free For All this year. She was disqualified from a photo-finish victory on Jun. 3 but won the Preferred-2 on Jul. 29 and was second in last weekās edition of the Free For All. The five-year-old has earned $243,155 in 58 lifetime appearances. Carmen Auciello trains the gelding for Daniel Sarafian of Unionville.
The Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots sophomore trotting males contested their third leg on the card. New Rules (Lookslikeachpndale, Austin Sorrie) romped to a four-and-a-half-length victory in 1:53.1 in the first split. Dws Point Man (My Mvp, Roy) then held on by a neck in the second division in 1:53.4. Like Chaos (Lookslikeachpndale, Henry) rallied in deep-stretch to pass the top two and take the third division in 1:54.
The next card at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Monday (Aug. 14) will feature a $36,000 Free For All Trot. First post is set for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
