Irish Ray’s streak stretches to 15

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Make it 15 for Irish Ray (Muscle Through It) after another dominant harness racing victory in Atlantic Sires Stakes action Tuesday evening at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The sophomore trotting colt was freshly minted as the fastest Atlantic Sired three-year-old ever on the Eastern Seaboard in his last start then followed it up tonight with an eight-length romp in 1:58.3 for his 15th straight win in his undefeated career. The Atlantic Sires Stakes for three-year-old trotters hosted a single division with a $17,920 pot and Irish Ray trotted away with it for trainer-driver Marc Campbell and owner Three Wisemen Stable oof Kingston. His stable mate Gettin Salty (Driven by Adam Merner) was second best with Windemeregotmuscle (Jason Hughes) completing a total Muscle Through It-sired sweep of the triactor.

IRISH RAY REPLAY

Also on the evening card, the Atlantic Sires Stakes for two-year-old trotters had a pair of $10,060 divisions.

Getting Tipsy (E L Rocket) won her division in race 2 with a four-length victory in 2:02.2 for trainer-driver Mike McGuigan and owner Jamie Whalen of Avondale. Pay Me My Money (Kenny Arsenault) was second while Black Speed (Campbell) finished third.

GETTING TIPSY REPLAY

Dusty Lane Wee (E L Rocket) was a victor in her Atlantic Sires Stakes split winning in 2:02.2 in line to Campbell for trainer Lenny Myers and owners Garry MacDonald and Ron Gass. Camco Laraido (Ken Murphy) was the runner-up with race favourite Rocket Blast (Hughes) finishing third with broken equipment.

DUSTY LANE WEE REPLAY

Elm Grove Qwiggly (Rollwithitharry) came to play from Cape Breton in winning the $2,700 race 13 finale in overnight action from the Larry Snow barn. Campbell was in the seat behind the colt to complete a driving triple as he continues to lead in the Francis McIsaac Memorial Driving Title standings for top driver of Old Home Week.

ELM GROVE QWIGGLY REPLAY

Live racing continues Wednesday evening at 7 P.M. with the Atlantic Sires Stakes for two-year-old pacing colts.
