Harness racing hits Oamaru again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:43pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Value:  R3   Markthewarrior

Race 1

Louis (3) Has looked good at trials and drawn to suit. Top selection on debut
Rockenroll Graduate (2) Good beginner and consistent formline. Has to be respected here
Ultimate Counsel (5) Handy horse who heads forward early. Can stick on for top three here

Race 2

Artmore (3) Good finish but paced a bit rough late last start. Improver who can go close
Mightyflyin Supastar (4) Running on last start and look for a better run in this. Needed
Kawactus (1) Racing well and likely to land a handy spot on the fence. Can run top three

Race 3

Markthewarrior (11) Better than the form suggests. Can surprise with no mistakes
Penelope Hall (6) Normally a good beginner and conditions suit. Drawn to be competitive
Kenny’s Charm (4) Looked good last campaign. Needs manners but has winning claims

Race 4

Classie Linc (6) Wide draw a worry but mobile helps as does the small field. Top selection
Dance With The Boss (7) This field looks within his range. Should be thereabouts here
Bobby Waterhouse (3) Hasn’t had much luck but place chances look best in this field

Race 5

Mo’unga (5) Has a big reputation. Hard to beat in this if he brings his a-game
Snow Robyn (8) Tricky handicap but small field will help. Looks a nice top three chance
Winnyzback (7) Plenty of ability and should be running on late here. Include

Race 6

Black Mach (6) Wide draw but good enough to make his own luck. Top selection here
Foveaux Gambler (4) Should get a good run from the draw. Has the ability to place in this
Bologna (9) Tricky draw and will need luck but looks to have good finishing speed. Needed

Race 7

Quik Barbie (4) Good second last start and has claims in what is an even field.
Sassy Star  (13) Plenty of ability and could surprise if he gets around with no mistakes
High Intensity (3) Nice win fresh but up in grade. No surprise to see her go close in this

Race 8

Harrison (3) Close second at Addington and might try to lead here. Looks a good chance
Bluto (4) Good win last start and stand start the only worry here. Can go back to back
The Coalman (1) Tidy draw and always a place chance. Not the worst at longer odds

Race 9

Dont Ask (1) Good beginner who could give some cheek with a good run in transit. Needed
Streaming Live (5) Has raced well in stronger fields. Has to be respected at good odds here
Galleons Ambassador (2) Getting fitter with racing. Good win chance again with manners

Race 10

Barnstormer (4) Quick beginner who might be the early leader. Can get back into form here
Hes Santas Excuse (11) Racing well and should get a run through from the draw. Include
Judgement Bay (12) At her best would be a threat. Chance with a cart into the race.
