Tiger Tara’s legend continues

The three-year-old Tigers Spirit is proving a splendid advertisement in NSW for his sire, the former Inter Dominion champion and 2019 Horse of the Year Tiger Tara, who is standing at the Medowie Lodge stud, near Newcastle, of leading studmaster Darren Reay.

The gelding overcame a difficult barrier draw and a wide passage before winning easily in a career-best 1:59.7 at Bankstown on August 7 and, three days later, finished a close second at Penrith.

Meanwhile, Tiger Tee, a four-year-old trotter and one of Tiger Tara’s first crop, made light of a 20 metre handicap to notch her fifth success at Menangle.

Tiger Tara has sired four winners from six starters in his first two crops.

Follow The Stars, Tiger Tara’s Medowie Lodge studmate, produced six winners in three different States in the space of eight days.

His haul included a ‘new’ two-year-old winner in Tempt The Stars, the dual Melton winner Spun Silver, the dual Globe Derby Park victor Lap Of Honour and a treble at Kellerberrin (WA) in Follow The Milkyway, Troopingofthecolor and Our Glowing Star.

Former multiple Group winning trotter My High Expectations has been given a terrific boost with the unbeaten two-year-old trotting filly Gait With Grace. She made it three from three when she overcame a 20 metre handicap to score in runaway fashion at Albion Park.

Two of My High Expectations’ progeny in Gait With Grace and Northern Heights are ranked among the top chances in tonight’s $50,000 QBred Triad 2YO Final at Albion Park.

Dextrous Dexter, another of My High Expectations’ stock, will be one of the leading fancies in the $51,000 QBred Triad 3YO Final.
