Weedon harness racing trainer Rodger Austin realises there’s no hiding from the big guns now.

When Donmaro (A Rocknroll Dance) lines up in Friday night’s Maurice Holmes Vase at Addington he’ll be up against some tough competitors. But the four year old has come a long way in a relatively short time.
Austin says he’s been well looked after.
The gelding has had just two standing starts in his fifteen race career and was placed in both.
Once the dust settles after the Group Three feature Austin may consider giving Donmaro a break.
He added that the gelding will be nominated for the New Zealand Cup but whether he’ll start in the November Group One 3200 metre feature will depend on how he performs between now and then.
The Allied Security ‘Maurice Holmes Vase’ is down to run at 7.50pm and will be televised on Trackside One.
