Dark Eclipse N casts shadow on feature pace rivals

Dark Eclipse N (A Rocknroll Dance) and harness racing driver Ridge Warren captured the featured $11,000 fillies & mares’ pace at Tioga Downs on Friday (August 25).

Fashionattiffanys led to the quarter in :27.2.  She used a :28.2 second quarter to be first to the half in :55.4.  Fashionattiffanys was still in front to three-quarters getting there first in 1:23.2.

As they made the turn for home Dark Eclipse N ($5.80) came flying out of the pocket and blew right on by and won easily in a lifetime best of 1:51.3.  Fashionattiffanys had to settle for second.  Sweet Loving (Mike Merton) finished third.

Dark Eclipse N is a 5-year-old mare owned by Kim Zabielski and trained by Byron Pineda.  It was her fifth win this season and her sixth career victory.
