Four groupe level events highlighted today’s (Aug. 26) harness racing trots at Pairs-Vincennes. In the Prix de Provence (Gr. III, purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, 12 starters ages 5-7 years olds) Impressionist (5m Ready Cash-Une Lady de Nappe) scored in a photo at 16/1 odds timed in 1.12.6kr.

Eric Raffin was the pilot for Ecurie Hunter Valley and trainer Louis Baudron. She recorded her ninth career win in 36 starts and advanced her life earnings to 333,850€.

Cash Bank Bigi (5f The Bank-Settenote Club) was second for Frank Nivard and trainer Fabrice Souloy at 4.7/1 odds and 2.7/1 Bilo Jepson (6g Timoko-Tiffant del Rio) was third for David Thomain driving for conditioner Vitale Ciotola. Gemin Jaba and He And Me completed the top five all within two lengths at the line.

The monte Prix Camille Lepecq (Gr. II, purse 120,000€. 2175 meters, 12 starters ages 6-10 years) was next and 2.5/1 Gigolo Lover (7g Royal Lover-Rosalie Moubaz) scored in a course record 1.09.9kr with Alexandre Abrivard the winning jockey.

Filou d’Anjou (8g Othello Bourbon-Girl Begonia) landed third at 3/1 with Marine Beudard aboard for trainer Eric Beudard. Fine Perle Of Love (8f Theo Josselyn-Source Of Love) was fourth at 8.6/1 with Nathalie Henry the jockey. The fractions of this race were wicked fast (1.06.1kr with 1500 meters to go; 1.07.0kr at the 1000 and 1.09.5kr with 500 meters remaining).

The featured Yearling Cop 2023 Arqana Trot (Gr. III, purse 150,000€, 2700 meters, 15 starters three-year-olds) produced a 1.14.2kr timed victory for 3.9/1 odds Kapitano de Source (3m Ready Cash-Varina) handled by Eric Raffin for Ecurie Hunter Valley and trainer Tomas Malmqvist.

Kapitano won for the seventh time in eight starts now for 147,500€ earned.

The 1.6/1 favorite Krista; Josselyn (3m Bold Eagle-City Sees) was second with Benjamin Rochard teaming for trainer Sebastien Guarato and owner Sebastien Dewulf. Kid Bellay (3m Goetmals Wood-Augusta) was third for Louis Baudouin driving for trainer J.M. Baudouin. Kiara de Vandel (3f Charly du Noyer) landed fourth at 23/1 odds for Alexandre Abrivard.

The monte Prix Phact (Gr. III, purse 80,000€, 2175 meters, 11 starters three-year-olds) put a wrap on today’s Vincennes groupe level trots. Here the 7.3/1 odds Kandoro Bella (3f Prodigious-Doriana Bella) scored timed in 1.12.9kr with the masterful jockey Camille Levesque at the lines.

Thomas Levesque owns and trains the winner that Remi Boucret bred. The winner now has four wins from 12 starts for 150,220€ earned.
